OUR PROJECTS

The Enhance Education and Better Livelihood Option Project – Phase I, implemented with the support of TDH Germany, was carried out in Gaumul Rural Municipality of Bajura from 1 October 2020 to 30 March 2024, with a total budget of NPR 37,049,811. The project aimed to improve quality education and promote sustainable livelihoods, specifically targeting 2,250 households, 2,500 children, 1,500 youths and women, across 23 schools, 23 Early Childhood Development Centers (ECDCs), and 4 cooperatives.

The project ensured access to quality education for 2,500 children by improving school infrastructure and learning environments. A total of 23 schools and 24 ECDCs were strengthened with educational materials and teaching resources. The project established 8 science laboratories, 8 libraries, and 8 computer labs in secondary schools, significantly enhancing the academic environment. In addition, around 125 teachers and ECDC facilitators received capacity-building training to improve teaching quality and child engagement.

On the livelihood front, the project successfully supported 1,250 youth and women to engage in income-generating activities, contributing to their economic empowerment and self-reliance. Through the integration of education and livelihood components, made a significant impact on the well-being and future opportunities of children, youth, and women in the project area.
