The Emergency Response Project, implemented with financial supports by Action Aid International, was carried out from January 2020 to December 2021 in the rural municipalities of Swamikartik, Himali, and Budhinanda in Bajura District. With a total budget of NPR 2,861,629, the project aimed to build resilience against climate change impacts and provide emergency support to the most affected and vulnerable populations.
Through this initiative, 3466 families received various forms of emergency relief materials during times of crisis. The project responded to climate-induced disasters and emergencies by ensuring that affected families had access to immediate support for their basic needs, such as food, shelter, and hygiene materials.
Furthermore, around 3200 families were supported not only for immediate relief but also for early recovery and rehabilitation, contributing to their socio-economic empowerment. This project helped enhance the coping capacity of the local population and laid the foundation for building community-level resilience to future emergencies and climate shocks.
