Agriculture and Food Security Project

HRC has successfully completed Agriculture and Food security project financial supports of the FAO/GAFSP, The project has specially focused on Food security, Agriculture and Nutrition to the target group women, children and marginalized people. The project has implemented in Himali, Swamikartik Khapar, Jagannath RM and Budhinanda Municipality of Bajura district from 1^st August 2015 to 30^th July 2018.

The Agriculture and Food Security Project aimed to enhance food security and improve nutritional status among women, children, and marginalized households in four local governments of Bajura. The project successfully increased food availability and diversified agricultural practices by introducing improved farming methods and tools. 

Out of the total beneficiaries, 1,000 households experienced significant improvement in food security and nutrition. The project also supported agriculture-based income generation activities, including vegetable farming, cereal crop promotion, and livestock support, which contributed to enhanced livelihood opportunities at the community level.
